She says Coachella got a bargain Cardi B has revealed how much she is getting paid to play Coachella festival, stressing that Coachella got something of a bargain. Coachella runs this weekend (April 13-15) and will return the weekend after (April 20-22) at its traditional home in Indio, California. Beyoncé, The Weeknd and Eminem are confirmed as headliners for this year’s Coachella, with the former reportedly preparing for the festival with 11 hour long rehearsals. Speaking to SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation, Cardi B revealed that she is making $70,000 a day (so $140,000 over the course of the two weekends) to play the esteemed festival. Cardi deems the price relatively low because Coachella booked her six months, when she wasn’t as big a star as she is now. “I didn’t realise that Coachella was just such a big deal like that,” Cardi explained. “I didn’t know that it was a lot of people.” She also revealed that, similar to Beyoncé, she’ll be doing 10 hour rehearsals to “get it right”. The rapper has since revealed that she has pulled out of Wireless Festival due to her pregnancy.
