The queen rules with an iron fist.
By all accounts, Beyoncé killed it at Coachella on Saturday. She reunited with Destiny’s Child, danced with Solange, sampled Nina Simone, and even gave a special shoutout to the organizer: “Thank you Coachella for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline. Ain’t that ‘bout a bitch?”
But it might be hard to find any unofficial pictures or videos from her performance. According to Page Six, Beyoncé’s team has been trying to tightly control which photos of her get published, and because it’s Beyoncé, they’re probably going to pull it off. Per Page Six:
Page Six has learned that the superstar’s publicist sent out an e-mail to news outlets Friday asking them not to publish fans’ pictures of her hotly anticipated performance at Coachella—and to stick with the approved shots of Saturday’s show instead.
It appears to be an attempt to prevent a replay of the situation after her 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, when her team famously e-mailed BuzzFeed asking the Web site to take down a series of “unflattering photos” from a gallery of her showstopping performance.
Which means you should definitely check out this clip of her performing with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams before it gets taken down.
